‘American Horror Story’ is taking us to 1984 for season 9.

American Horror Story is gearing up for its ninth season this year. We’ve made it through Murder HouseCovenFreak ShowHotelRoanoke and so many more.

Details have been rather scarce on the upcoming season, but creator Ryan Murphy finally revealed its title, American Horror Story: 1984, in April. Now we finally know when the first episode will air.

In April, Murphy took to Instagram to declare a simple, “AHS SEASON 9 is called…” With it, he shared a short teaser video with that famous eerie music as a man (or monster?) stalks a woman through the woods.

Given the woman’s throwback attire, the title card of AHS: 1984 makes total sense, and so does the slasher film-esque vibe present throughout the clip. The ending slide reveals the season is headed to our screens this fall, and now we have exact date.

The series took to Instagram to reveal American Horror Story: 1984 hits our screens Sept. 18 at 10 p.m.
